PETWORTH.
Angel Hotel (Angel Street, West Sussex) (01798) 42153. This is a nice 13th century style pub that was once a coaching inn. The inside is resplendent with oak beams and a fireplace to warm yourself in winter. The decor is up-market and very comfortable and the emphasis is upon meals although the beers available were from Adnams, Bitter, Ballard's Wild and Gale's IPA, though not all are on necessarily at anyone time. Food is sumptuous from about £3.50 for omeletts and £4.50 for chicken curry, all the way up to £9 for things like lamb and fish. Sunday lunches are popular so book early. Food is available until 9.30pm, lunchtime only on Sunday (3.30pm). Accommodation Rating is available in 8 rooms which are pleasantly furnished with TV, tea making facilities. The price is about £40 - £60 for a single and £50 - £75 for a double.
