This pub is situated beside the River Heddon in the heart
of Parracombe, the Fox and Goose is an ideal base for exploring the delights of Exmoor.
The owners, Phil and Sally offer a warm welcome and friendly service and its well worth a
stop to chat to them. The beers on at the time were Cotleigh Barn Owl, Exmoor
Gold and Dartmoor Best, though
these are only the current ales and you should check to see what's new. Food is excellent
and wholesome and reasonably priced. The pub is listed by both AA and RAC but no
longer does accommodation. There is accommodation close by though, see panel
over. Come to this
beautiful part of the country and see the sights, it's well worth a visit and you can enjoy
the beaches too.
| Additional Notes: | The fox and goose is actually in North Devon not Somerset! The ownership has changed it is now run by Phil & Sally. We always have three local real ales on and a local cider. Food is our specialty at the Fox & Goose offering superb local meat and game, fresh fish and our award winning steak & kidney pie all at excellent value. Also we no longer have accommodation. |
