This is Mansfield's biggest real ale pub serving up to 12 real ales only some of these are guest ales though. It is now a Greene King pub and so the regular ales are now from its range of ales. An open plan design with South facing beer garden. Food is served here at lunchtimes until early evening (12-9pm). Not far from the station and well worth a stop off. There is a no smoking area and a quiz night plus live music over the weekend. For sports enthusiasts there is a large TV screen. The Bold Forester also has a regular beer festival. A large car park outside helps with the healthy number of clientele. Access for the disabled is also possible.
