The Griffin
Inn (A494, Llanbedr, nr. Ruthin, North Wales)
(01). Beautiful large pub, in scenic surroundings, two real fires, one central
bar, small front tap room, large games room with TV & Pool table, other
rooms, dining area, light/conservatory overlooking the patio & gardens. A small
but homely lounge bar with real fire & copper top tables. Beer was Robinsons
best bitter which was well kept. For food there was an extensive menu, good
sized meals, many homemade, especially on the specials board. Many locally
produced, Welsh lamb & Aberdeen Angus Beef. The prices were very reasonable,
for such large & well cooked meals. The food seemed to be served daily -
lunch & evening. The accommodation has had a refurbishment, the rooms are
all en-suite with a new good sized bathroom in each room, I would recommend this
pub on the letting rooms alone. Rating. The best
about the Griffin is the the location and the amenities. Try also: Victoria Hotel (Main St)
