Signed from B4355; turn left after bridge. A
spotless old inn nicely set near a good stretch of Offa's Dyke. Inside is a heavy-beamed
Turkey-carpeted rambling lounge bar with cosy alcoves and a wood burning
stove. There is also a small black-beamed and flagstone floored taproom with
traditional games. At lunchtimes there is traditional food from sandwiches
upwards. Evening specials are also worth
trying.

Real ales inc Lionheart brewed specially for them.
There is a good sensibly short wine list and no smoking in the back restaurant
looking down to River Teme (overlooking the Welsh border).
In addition to all this the staff are friendly and children are accommodated in
the eating area. Accommodation is available in comfortable rooms.
