KINVER
Plough and Harrow (High Street, Kinver, Staffordshire) (01384) 872659. A popular pub with different levels that can be difficult to negotiate for the disabled. Outside it looks new, but inside the age shows and you can see the history through the walls and ceiling. Landlord likes films and has adorned the walls with pictures of film stars. Children are allowed in certain parts of the pub. Beers are all Batham's on at the time were Mild, XXX and Best Bitter. Food is served lunch and evening, though only until 2pm at lunchtimes. Open on Sundays until 4.30 lunchtime. Pub is long and thin and has a public bar with no frills closest to the road. The lounge bar has Sky TV and fruit machines and is noisy. It has an outside drinking area for the summer. Carpark to the side off the main road though drive slowly as it is just round a bend. No accommodation here but try: Limes, 260 Hagley Road, Pedmore, Stourbridge, DY9 0RW, 6 km from the centre of Kinver, price £21 - £30 en-suite.
