The Pear Tree is between Chipping Norton (gateway to the Cotswolds) and Banbury, just north of the A361. It is at the most westerly end of the village, follow signs for Chipping Norton from the centre of the village. The Pear Tree serves the full range of Hook Norton beers. Built in Cotswold stone with welcoming open fires, flagstone floors and barley hops adorning the bars, this traditional English Public House prides itself on it's warm and relaxed atmosphere. The fine Hook Norton real ales are served together with an extensive range of quality wines. The newly refurbished restaurant offers excellent cuisine, all home made and cooked to order. Choose from either the Bar Snack Menu or the Restaurant Menu (prices range from Pan fried chicken livers £3.95; Homemade soup £2.95; Ciabatta drizzled with olive oil topped with tomato, roasted peppers, black olives, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese served with a side salad £5.45; Roasted mediterranean vegetables & mozzarella cheese served on couscous finished with sun dried tomato and basil pesto dressing £7.75; Supreme of Barbary duck served with an orange & brandy sauce £10.50. The bars are flagstone floors with plenty of seating and traditional bar games. Accommodation is available: 3 twin bedded rooms, 2 double bedded rooms, 1 double and single bedded room. All rooms have en suite facilities, colour television, tea and coffee and are non-smoking. Prices range from £30 single to £50 double. Disabled access possible.
