Get past the jokes and this is a very good place to stop off. OK, so it serves Courage and John Smith's, but it also has up to three guest ales on from local micros. They also do up to 15 different Belgian bottled beers for a change and also a draught one! Unfortunately there is no food here, but at least you can breathe as the air con sucks out most of the fug. No accommodation here either. Just up the road from Kidsgrove it is worth seeking out for the foreign beers.
