This is the brewery tap for the Red
Rose brewery and serves up to three of their own beers alongside another two to
three guest ales. The corner hotel (in name only) is just outside the town
centre down the hill on the way to the A671. Inside you will find one main room
- the back being an occasional room. The corner bar has a large overhang and
stools on a bare floor. Seating is at tables with a long padded bench round the
wall and there is a booth or two. A pool tables and jukebox are visible. While
appearances make this a basic pub, it has the ale and a relaxed atmosphere that
is welcoming. Alas no food is served here but they do accommodation - 3 diamond
English Tourist Board Accredited en-suite accomodation - £33 for single, £55 for
twin. If
you have been to The Dog at Whalley, then this is on your way back to the
motorway and worth a stop off. There is a new extension to the separate live
music room. Disabled access. Live Music on Friday. No football, disco or
karaoke. Just to reiterate seven real ales are always on and constantly
changing, over 350 different beers in 12 months. The brewery is off premises.
