FEATHERSTONE.

This is a very friendly local pub set up a hill in outstanding countryside. Sometimes closed in the winter, so check first, it has a reputation for good food. Food is served lunch and evening (not Sunday evening or Mon-Tue). The beers served at the time were Four Rivers Moondance and Centurion. The real fire can warm you nicely in the winter. You can also cycle here as the pub is on the Sustrans cycle track near Featherstone Castle. Outside is a large car park and garden with picnic tables.

The pub is usually open 12-3.30pm (closed Mon-Tue), 4-11pm; 11.30-11 Fri/Sat; Sun 12.-3.30pm, 7-10.30pm.
