Located one mile off A37 Yeovil - Dorchester Road (8 miles Yeovil & 10 miles Dorchester & 8 miles Crewkerne & 10 miles Bridport). Set in the middle of a very pretty village which is also good walking country, The Acorn Inn is only 20 minutes drive to coast. The Acorn Inn has two bars recently panelled with hand crafted oak. Real fire in Village Bar and in Hardy Bar. Separate no smoking dining room (where breakfast is also served). Dining also in Hardy Bar area, with one half smoking and one half no-smoking. Disabled access possible from the village street side, but loo doors not wide enough. Toilets located very centrally and easy to find. Quality of the beers are good, with a new cellar in 1998 - refrigerated to correct temperature. Lines are also cleaned frequently. Beers on Fullers London Pride 4.1%, Greene King IPA 3.6% (in the summer months Otter Brewery, Otter Bright) plus Westons Stowford Press Cider, homemade Sloe Gin and Damson Vodka, homemade Elderflower Cordial (non-alcoholic). Food is served 12-2pm and 7-9pm or 9.30pm Friday/Saturday, open seven days a week for English cuisine. Good restauraunt food and also a bar menu. Choice of 6-8 starters/main course/puddings. Starters approx £4.50, main courses £6.50 - £12.50, puddings £3.25. Everything cooked from fresh, including all home-made puddings. Bar menu £3.50 to £6.50. Service - friendly and efficient. For the summer there is a small beer garden with bench tables. Accommodation available here: 9 double or twin en-suite bedrooms, two with four-poster beds, one with a 6' inlaid mahogany bedstead. All individually furnished and designed. Good quality and high standards. Antiques or good quality reproduction furniture. All bathrooms have showers, most with baths as well. Rooms have TV, Telephone, Beverage making, hairdryers available. Prices: Double bedroom (x 2) B&B from £75 per night. Double bedroom (x 1) B&B from £50 per night.
