EARLS COLNE.

A traditional 2 bar pub with garden and open fire. No juke box or gaming machines or music. The beer is of a consistently good quality even though there is no cellar. Only Ridleys (IPA, Old Bob) beers are sold but the pub offers their seasonal and monthly one off brews. The food is not ambitious but well prepared home made dishes at a reasonable price. Food is served from 12-1.30 lunchtimes and 7-9 evenings. Best:  The beer; worst:  Cold in the winter. Rating: Exceptional.
