This Shropshire pub has good accommodation
with en-suite at a reasonable price of £44 per night. Friendly staff and a good
atmosphere compliment this village centre pub. An 'L' shape bar area serves real ales (Wye
Valley, Hobson's and changing guest) at sensible prices - not over inflated. The food is
top quality fare for about £5.75 - £9. There is also a serious vegetarian choice. The
rooms were clean and comfortable, marred only by the truly historic nature of the building
- creaking floorboards and thin walls. Waking up at 4am to the sound of voices you might
be mistaken for thinking it was the radio, but it is more likely to be your neighbours
talking. That said the attentiveness of the staff more than made up for it. Accommodation Rating.
