Formally the Dynevor Arms, the Ale & Chophouse
has been converted from an old terraced cottage. Opened by the Fagins chain in 1991, there is a single bar with flagstone floor and a low, oak beamed ceiling.
There are at least 10 ales available at any time and the pub has been a regular entry in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
After a minor refit, there is a new range of front of bar ales, including 80/-, SA, Spitfire, Bishops Finger and Cains
FA with even more unusual ales on stillage. There's live entertainment on Sundays and Thursdays, with a Pub Quiz on Monday night.
The Restaurant (12-2pm,
7-10pm Mon to Sat; 12-2.45pm Sun) seats 50, A La Carte menu & bar meals available.
Fish is a speciality on the restaurant menu. As Sunday Lunchtimes are usually busy, advanced booking is advisable.
