BISHOPSTONE.
The Harrow (2 miles to the South West of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire) (01296) 748652. The Harrow lies in a small linear rural village south west of Aylesbury. As a village pub the opening times are a little odd. They open at noon. The landlord is friendly and cooperative, always ready to help. The Harrow has one large room and a single bar. A number of board games are available for use including Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit and a 'Murder Mystery'. There's no juke box but there is quiet background music (requests listened to but not necessarily taken). Beers on offer at the time were Wadworth 6X (£1.90) and Flowers IPA (£1.80). Not a great choice, but they were well kept and served. Bar meals and snacks are available from Tuesday to Saturday and there's a Sunday supper menu with prices starting from £3.95. Outside there is a large beer garden complete with a children's area. Opening times are: Tue to Sat 12-2.30pm (Not Mon) open to 3pm Sat (& 6pm-11pm) & Sun (& 7pm-10.30pm), closes 10pm Mon. No accommodation. (Tue-Sat)
