The Queens can be found in Belper, Derbyshire, 10 miles north of Derby on the A6. The Queens Head is located on Chesterfield road approximately 1/2 a mile outside the town centre. From the Safeway island on the A6, go up the hill to the market place. Turn left onto the B6013 (signed for Heage) and there it is 1/2 a mile up on the left. If you get lost just ask, everyone in Belper knows where they are. A friendly stone built community pub, the queen prides itself on their selection of real ales - permanently having Tetley, Green King IPA and Draught Burton Ale on. They also have at least two guest ales on. On this occasion Ash Vine Stairway to Heaven and Mighty Oak Burntwood Bitter. They are quite an outgoing lot at the Queens Head. To that end they like a nice tune so they have music on most Saturday nights, mainly Jazz, Folk and Blues. They also have a pub quiz every Tuesday night, with 6 pints the prize for the winner/s, 4 pints for coming second and a measly 2 pints for those who come third. Be warned though, the penalty for winning the quiz is to set it for the following week, therefore second is a very popular place to be! No food served. Well worth a visit but no accommodation here.
