ASHCOTT.
Ring of Bells (High Street off A39, Somerset) (01458) 210232. This is a very popular three-roomed pub with multi-level floors which makes it hard for the disabled. The beers are good though; Moor Beer Withy Cutter is always available plus two guests, often featuring other West Country micros and other Moor brews, as well as beers from elsewhere. It was Somerset pub of the year 1998. Food is good and wholesome and reasonably priced (vegetarian choice). Skittle alley available for hire. Camping is available. Try also The Ashcott Inn (Butcome Bitter). No accommodation here but try: Dennis and Ena's Bed and Breakfast 46 High Street, Glastonbury, BA6 9DX. It's 6 km from the centre of Ashcott though. Facilities include en-suite bathrooms, TV, Tea/coffee.
