This is a remote farm style pub that reminds you of a farmhouse inside. It's dark and foreboding and strangers get looked at a lot. But it's still a good place for a drink as it usually has 4 guest ales on (Wells Bombadier, Hook Norton Generation, Parish Premium, Mitchells Bitter). Staff were very amenable to taking off the sparkler too. Food is served here lunch and evening, but there were no menus available when we visited Thursday. Toilets are basic and access for the disabled is not good. There are two rooms, though they have been knocked through. A real fire in each is welcoming in winter. Furniture is basic benches and chairs - all dark wood. Outside there is a beer garden, but watch out for the silage days! If you like you can camp around here. There is a family room and traditional pub games are played here. No accommodation.
