Mash

Close to Oxfgord circus tube.

This brewbar is part of the fashionable London set. It has plate glass windows and the feel of a clothes shop in side. I say this as the furniture and decor remind me of something circa 1975.

There are small 'booths' on the left as you enter where you need to move the tble to get comfortably in. These are for two people, so snuggle up. There appears to be a cloak room to te right, though it wasn't being used on this visit.

To get to the bar you need to walk towards the end of the room - toward the brewing vessels and it is no your left. It is a kind of Spanish bar arrangement - rather like leaning over a hacienda wall with portals.

Here you will find the pumps that dispence the beer brewed on site. The wheat beer and Christmas special were both very nice and not as epxensive as we were led to believe. They also do bottled beers, though we did not try them on this occasion.

Food is served here most of the day and it is meant to be stylish and 'gastro'. Though we found it to be 'gastro-lite'. Vegetarians are served.

Having said that, we would still pop in for a quick drink again when we are around these parts.

By the way, at night it turns into a club with DJ and loud music, so be warned.
