The White Star  

This is an excellent pub near the haert of the shopping district. It is hard to find as you need to go down a small alleyway, but it is well worth seeking out.

You can get White Star beers here plus guests (up to six handpumps) and all are served well. You can also relax in the deep leather chairs and in the nooks and crannies.

The horseshoe bar serves all the pub - the toilets are at the back. This pub is well worth going to and is not far from the Vernon.
