Brewhouse & Kitchen  

This used to be a Wetherspoon, but could not make it work. It was taken over by Brewhouse and Kitchen and has gone from strength to strength.

As with all the B&K pubs, they brew their own beer on-site; you can actually touch the vessels as they are on the main floor, if slightly raised. There are usually six real ales on plus some continental beers.

The pub has two floors, with the upstairs rooms being smaller for parties and private hire. Music is also played up here. The downstairs has plenty of seating and there is table service for food, though you can go to the bar.

Food is served here all day. It is mostly burgers and the like, but they are good and there is a mezze type fusion of foods on small plates.

For the summer there is a small terrace at the rear and tables out front. A smoking area is to the side.

Disabled access is possible.

Children and dogs are welcome.
