The Red Lion
The Red Lion at Knotty Green is a delightful country local which is one of the finest and oldest pubs in Buckinghamshire (historical records show that it has existed since at least 1753).
This is the only pub in the small village of Knotty Green near Beaconsfield. It doubles as the hub for ramblers' walks and allows dogs.
For the winter there are real fires and you can enjoy a book in the library room that has a single theme - Enid Blyton. The books were donated by the Enid Blyton Society. The famous children's author used to live at a house called Green Hedges nearby. It also has a gallery of original prints.
The pub recently underwent an extensive refurbishment, creating a welcoming new veranda and beer garden.
Food is served here both lunch and evening.
Entertainment here is music, but also a Texas Hold'em poker night.
Free wi-fi is available so bring your laptop and enjoy a pint while surfing.
