Wharf Inn

This is a big pub on the Coventry Road not far from the industrial estates and on the southern ring road of Hinckley.

Inside you are met with a number of different small rooms, all with beams and traditional furniture (see picture). The carpet is dark which gives the pub a compressed, but cosy feel. Seating is at dark tables and chars/stools. Around one room is a long wall bench. While there are fireplaces, these have radiators in them, not open fires.

The beers on at the time were Marstons beers as this is one of their pubs. However, there were guest ales from Thwaites and Adnams on too. These were all served well with small heads in brim measures. However, the price was quite high for 2008 - £4.10 for a pint and a half.

Very much a locals pub with people greeting each other on entrance on this visit.

There is music here on a regular basis, but no food is served.

No accommodation.

Dogs and children allowed.
