The Pestle and Mortar  

One of the new wave of micro-pubs; this one opened in August 2015 in a former chemists.

It serves up to six real ales, five of which constantly change, plus twelve to fifteen ciders on draught. A selection of bottled beers is also available. Most beers are served by gravity.

Inside it is narrow, but goes back some. Decor is light modern and the furniture is an eclectic mix of tables, chairs, stools and sofas. There are wood floors throughout and a step towards the rear of the bar.

Some snacks are available here, but no main food as such.
