The Land of Liberty, Peace and Plenty

The pub is frequented by regulars and visitors alike. It has a traditional atmosphere for a pub that is friendly. It even stocks items more usually found in the village shop.

The building is a traditional style single bar pub, which was built in the 1820's and served as the local beer shop. It became a pub with 3 rooms in the late 19th Century, and has had various improvements made over the years.

There are up to 6 ales on, including changing guests and ciders (in the summer). They use over-sized lined glasses to ensure a full liquid pint for real ales. They stock real Perry & Cider all year, including locally-produced Millwhites.

Bar snacks are available, such as pork pies, Cornish pasties, pan-fried chorizo slices, cheesy biscuits, and freshly made half baguettes all day.

Two things to remember about the pub: they don't like mobiles here, so keep it on 'silent' and they do like dogs, so bring your along. They even supply dog biscuits and water.

Children are allowed but only in the Pavilion and the garden.

They have occasional music here too.
