The Greyhound  

just outside Lancaster on the opposite side of the M6, the Greyhound serves good real ale and even does so at a discount price to encourage you to try real ales. Open all day it serves food Mon-Fri 12-2.30 & 5.30-8.30pm; Sat 12-8.30pm and Sunday 12-7pm. Food is home-cooked and well served and tasty to boot. For the summer there is a beer garden and if that doesn't interest they have a quizz night on Tuesdays. Worth a stop.
