Althorp Coaching Inn  

This is a very pretty pub in a small village. It is on the corner as you go through the village and you might miss it if you go too fast.

Inside there are many different rooms, all decked out in olde worlde style, and an inner courtyard with tables and chairs. The pub cat often sits here catching the rays.

There is also a beer garden out back and you can sit under the trees in dappled shade and enjoy the quiet of the countryside.

There is food served here both lunch and evening and the pub has some interesting choices on the menu. Prices are reasonable too. There is a separate area for food in a double height room that feels like a barn (though not in size). You can also eat anywhere in the pub.

The bar area is tin really and has a low ceiling so tall people need to bend. There are tables and chairs here by the fireplace and also a few stools at the bar - see picture. On the bar you will find up to three guest ales to add to the other three or so. All were served well and to the top. Prices are reasonable too.
