The Bear and Ragged Staff  

The Bear is the heart of a small Oxfordshire village. The pub provides a welcoming interior and exterior.

The Bear has had a rich history. Though it is best known these days a pub and restaurant, has doubled up in the past as Army billets during the Civil war, when Richard Cromwell, Son of Oliver, is supposed to have resided here.

This is a gastro pub and prices reflect this, however, the food is imaginative and well presented. The menu changes about four times a year and offers seasonal choices.

For the summer there is a garden and the winter a real fire.
