Oddfellows Arms

A pleasant local pub originally known as the John Peel (the creator of the police, not the DJ). The Oddfellows is very busy in summer when the climbers and fell walkers are about.

Guest ales on Jennings Bitter and Cumberland Ale, plus seasonal beers too. Food is served lunch and evening and is very reasonably priced.

Access for the disabled is possible and you can sit in the beer garden and enjoy the views in the evening/summer.

Accommodation here. Also try The Briars just down the road (01697) 478633, all en-suite rooms with TV and tea facilities.

Comments

Good beer, great food. I found this pub worth spending the entire afternoon. It is a very welcoming atmosphere. Make reservations for dinner if you want a table.(16/1/04)
