The Anglers Rest

The ivy clad Angler's Rest has been a public house since 1753 and lies on the bank of the River Wye in the hamlet of Millers Dale, near Buxton.

There are three distinct areas in the pub, the Lounge bar which has a coal fire for the winter. The Hikers Bar (saloon) where walkers and their dogs are welcomed, also a pool table and dart board. The Dining Room where you can have a relaxed meal.

Food is served from 12.30 to 2.30 and 18.30 to 20.30 daily. The food is made on the premises using local ingredients. There is a selection of bar meals and main meals, but also look out for the specials board. Thursday night is 'pie night', all home-made.

The pub offers and offers a good range of cask ales and draught lagers.

It is down a dead end along the bank of the river.
