The Bridge Hotel  

The Bridge can be found between Buttermere and Crummock Water, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

There are two bars - one for walkers - where you can sit and eat and drink. They usually serve up to four ales, though in winter this selection decreases. Their Buttermere Bitter is brewed by Hawkshead.

The food is served 8.30am until 9.30pm and is all freshly prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. It's a traditional English menu with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes, including vegetarian options and a daily specials board. The separate dining room is furnished to a high standard and there is a dress code in force.

Dogs are welcome in the walkers bar.
