Coopers Tavern

This is a classic 19th-century pub. It is owned by Joule's and serves three of their beers as regulars, with up to six guest ales. They also serve real cider here.

As with all Joule pubs, this one has a lot of beer memorabilia on the walls and the lighting is low key.

There are three rooms here, a main lounge and a smaller tap room towards the rear. Here you will find some barrel tables and bench seating. There is a snug situated off the lounge. Note the real fires.

The bar is a counter where you can see the cask stillage, though there are a few handpumps.

Food is snacks like pork pies and cheese. These can be had at any time. You can also bring your own food to eat in, they will provide the plates, etc.

Occasional music here during the week and weekends.

Children welcome.

Dog friendly.
