Kings Head

Not far from the Bridge Inn, this is closer to the railway station. The argument is that the pub is on a medieval site dating back to the 1600's - the pub is in CAMRA's national inventory. The inside is more late Victorian with it's small single room split by screens. In fact the inside of the pub is no wider than the small shop frontage and doesn't go back that far either. When the CAMRA pub crawls are on, it gets very busy.

A good selection of ales are available, though not cheap. There are always beers on from Sharp's range. plus one or two others.

Decor and seating are in keeping with the olde worlde theme. Tall stools at the bar and a tramcar arrangement toward the rear of the pub. Pictures of old Bristol on the walls welcome you in. Food is served only at lunchtime weekdays as it gets frequented by office workers. For the summer there are usually some tables put out on the pavement.
