The Vine
The brewery tap of Batham's brewery, also known as the Bull and Bladder, on the outskirts of Dudley just down the hill and not far from the Merry Hill centre.
A very sympathetic conversion from a former butchers shop. When you walk through the front door to the right of the passageway there is a traditional saloon bar for locals. Opposite this bar is the lounge bar with upholstered bench seating on the window walls and a number of glass cabinets with brewery memorabilia.
The windows are stained glass with Batham's logos of course. A stone fireplace with real fire warms the winter blues. One good thing is that you can take the kids and they have their own room. A further room is the long room with bench seats.
A full range of Batham's beers are available, all well kept and perfectly served.
Food is served here Monday to Friday 12-2pm. The selection is limited but wholesome traditional choices.
Toilets are good and clean.
No accommodation here.
Also try: Rose & Crown (Holdens), Bank St.
