Dog and Doublet Inn

The Dog & Doublet was built in 1786 and was initially used as a house. The canal followed shortly after about 3 years and as a result of the business opportunity was made into a pub. Pigeon racing was also one of the main attractions at the Dog & Doublet.

This picturesque canal side Inn is situated alongside the Birmingham and Fazely Canal, just 2 miles from Junction 9 of the M42.

The Dog & Doublet is close to the Belfry Golf Club, Drayton Manor Park and Twycross Zoo and is just 10 minutes away from Birmingham Airport and the train station.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you in this quaint grade 2 listed Inn which still has wood panelled walls, oak beams and roaring fires for those cold winter evenings. The lounge is split into 4 areas.

Food is served here all day from 12 and there is a vegetarian choice. Breakfast served 9-11.30.
