The Green Dragon
The Green Dragon's historical documents date to 1746 when it was known as the Malt House. It was renamed The Green Dragon in 1765 but we think the building dates to the middle of the 17th Century. It is said the pub is haunted by the ghost of a young Danish soldier in the service of William III who was executed after killing a comrade in a duel in 1689.
The Green Dragon is within a short stroll of Lairgate, Ladygate and Hengate.
This is a traditional pub with quality pub food served in generous measure most of the day.
