The Star Inn  

This is a former pub owned by Shipstones, but has surpassed that in spades.

It has a modern feel to the bar area with high tables and stools and a good back bar. There is a room behind the bar with a smaller serving area and painted quotes on the walls. The kitchen entrance is also here.

There is a permanent marquee leading to a covered games room and an outside garden for the summer - note the large silver gorilla here.

The Star serves up to ten ales on tap in the two bars. A good Whiskey selection is available.

For the summer there is a large garden and families are welcome, but not in the evening.

Food is available here - Monday to Friday 12-2.30, 4-8pm; Saturday 12-8pm; Sun 12-5pm.

Occasional music here.

Dogs welcome.

Close to the Metro stop - 'Beeston Centre'.
