The Market Tavern  

This pub used to be the brewery tap of the Warwickshire Beer Company, but is now a thriving bar.

It has a couple of rooms - the bar in the middle - a smaller room at the back with fruit machine.

It's an 18th century pub, situated in Market Street on Atherstone's market square (parking opposite, but very short stay). It is an impressive building in almost picturesque surroundings.

Opposite is the Angel Inn and to the rear of the square is St. Mary's Parish Church.

The pub is a simple two-roomed hostelry, with a larger bar on entering and a smaller back bar to the rear. The back room is also the entry to a narrow rear garden/patio area where they sometimes have beer festivals and BBQ's.

Five hand-pulled beers are available every day.

The toilets are OK, but not good for the disabled.

Unfortunately there is no food available as this would compliment the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Staff very friendly.
