Angel Hotel  

The Angel Hotel was a great coaching inn on the London to Fishguard road; privately run now since 2002. Sitting at Abergavenny's centre, it combines friendly and attentive service with an elegant décor.

There’s an open fire, original wood panelling from the early 1900’s, and interesting old paintings of Abergavenny.

Behind the bar is a good range of beers like The Reverend James and London Pride, plus guest beers, kept in fine condition in state-of-the-art cellars, with interesting guest beers.

During the Summer and early Autumn, the well-sheltered courtyard in the centre of the hotel offers comfortable, open-air relaxation. Notice the wonderful sculpted angel wing.

Food is served here all the time it is open. It is good quality made-to-order food. Prices represent bistro cooking.

Well worth a stop off/over.
